| [Link had always been a lazybones, preferring to sleep in, watch the clouds, and skip on classes when the chance actually presented itself which wasn't often. It shouldn't, therefore, be so surprising that he'd spent the majority of his time on the boat skirting people, places, and things for a good spot to nap and watch the sky. It's what he did at Skyloft most often after all, and without Zelda there to drag him into productivity Link had no real motivation to attempt to do anything further than be just lazy.
Except after a while even being lazy got boring, repetitive, and the itch for something new would begin to surface. Having taken what amounted to most likely months off of doing anything at all except laze around and watch the sky after what felt like years of constant action, danger, and adventure, Link was starting to feel the burn to do something. The simplicity of sitting on top of this strange tower in the middle of the mini-golf course--not that Link remembered that's what it was called--began to grate upon him. Link was growing restless.
Link, for once, actually wanted to explore, but not alone. Exploring alone always seemed rather foolhardy, and while Link was rather foolhardy at times he knew better than to attempt to do anything when he didn't have his sword at his back. The loss of its weight, and the weight of all his other weapons, still took adjusting to. He just didn't know how to go about finding someone. Or anyone.
The only time Link had ever gotten a real 'partner in crime' was by sheer luck. Zelda because she'd taken some strange interest in the little orphan child and Fi because of destiny.] |
