Not only would his strides be longer, Lily, but his leaps were nothing to sneer at. The distance the large cat could clear, particularly with a running start, were pretty scary.

The human in the back of his mind has no chance and never did. The sheer will of the predator has overcome him under the moon's pull and it will remain as such until the following morning. If the passengers were lucky, he'd have his fill of 'play time' and find someplace to cat nap until then... but did they really think that they'd be that lucky?

He watches as she looks quickly over her shoulder, the book she'd dropped entirely forgotten as she takes in the proper threat the large cat presents. Boy, I hope there's another book about Kage's home, Lily... 'cause that one was likely going to go missing in the ensuing chaos. :(

Muscles tense in his haunches and shoulders as he prepares to spring.

"Then die," he rumbles low in his throat, ears pinning against his skull. It's all the warning she'll get before he leaps with claws and fangs spread, tightly corded muscles releasing in an impressive leap. How scary is it to have a nearly 500lb cat leaping at you, Lily?

He's reaching to snag at an part of her, whether with claw or fang. If he catches hold, it's game on. If not, perhaps she'd run and he could play cat and mouse for a while. :)
