(OPEN) in which a bird tries to keep dancing
[Duck hasn't done an amazing job of making friends since arriving on the boat. She's done her best to explore (but that got scary quick when she found the dark deck), to make friends with the workers (but the Nameless were REALLY terrifying, if quiet) and even looked for passengers (almost all of them were grown-ups). So, she spent her Christmas and New Years and... well, just about everything, alone.
Except for the Aviary. The Aviary made perfect sense. It was full of birds! Birds weren't going to judge her or tease her or be scary at herright???, so she'd made it her morning habit for the past week or so to wander down to them and chat. They seemed to be well-kept and fed, so she didn't need to bring seed or bread for them, but it was still nice to be with feathered friends.
Today was a little different! Today, Duck's found a music box, and is using it to (badly) practice ballet, with an audience of bird friends. She'll giggle and talk to them occasionally, or clumsily trip over, but otherwise, she seems decently occupied.
