Three days.
Objectively, it wasn't that long, especially - one would think - for a being that has seen more than three hundred years, but Babette has never found herself in a situation quite like this before and each hour away from her family leaves her more and more on edge.
It doesn't help that her powers aren't returning to her, even though she hasn't fed since being kidnapped. She's not been cured, she knows that much from the sluggishness she feels while the sun is up, so what in Oblivion has happened to her? Some sort of spell, or enchantment? Who knows what this Captain Rowe is capable of?
Babette's initial plan was to wait for her powers to kick in and get the captain under her thumb, but since her powers have yet to return... Hmm. Maybe Rowe is smart; smarter than Babette anticipated.
At a loss for anything else to do, Babette has been keeping to her room during the day and slipping out in the evenings to explore the ship. There's enough lighting (how, she doesn't question; there are enough questions already without looking gift horses in the mouth) to see by and hardly anyone else around. As such, she explores more or less unheeded most of the time.
Right now, though, she's looking for someone - anyone - preferable asleep. Maybe she needs to feed again to... to kick-start her system? It's a long short, but worth trying, if she can only find a well-positioned victim. That said, she's not holding out much hope; people sleep in their rooms, which she can't access (not for lack of trying), so while there is food aplenty, Babette is left thirsty.

After all she's been through, it probably isn't safe to not be fully aware of her surroundings, but right now she can't bring herself to care about much else.

Stepping softly and blending with the shadows, she picks her way through the garden, eyes and ears searching for any sign of life.
Eventually, she finds it, or rather her. Human, by the looks of her, and - unfortunately - awake and conscious, if not particularly attentive by the looks of her. It would be laughably easy to kill her, but the vampire hesitates.
Babette is hardly averse to killing - but only when she has a plan in place. Knows the way in and out, knows the consequences, knows what people will see and remember and search for. Not to mention that, big as this ship is, it's not big enough to lose any pursuers. So far, her little girl act is serving her well, but Babette isn't quite desperate enough to risk it... Not yet.
Besides, if her powers can return, the longer she goes without blood, the quicker she can attempt her plan of cornering Rowe and getting some real answers.
So - back? Then again... The more people convinced she's a harmless child, the easier it will be to carry out any questionable activities later. Babette thinks it over, and eventually steps forward, intentionally stepping on a twig to announce her presence.
"Lady, are you all right?"

"Oh, ja, I'm fine. Who are you?"
She's never seen this girl before, so it has to be one of the new passengers. There aren't exactly that many, not compared to the Elegante. She should be more familiar with them already for her own safety, but she hadn't really bothered.

"My name is Babette. Who are you? Are you all alone, too?"
Babette takes another few steps towards Mimmi, eyes wide with the hope of finding someone trustworthy. Granted, those same eyes are a softly glowing orange, but judging never got anyone anywhere, right?

"I am, ja. Would you like to join me?"
She tries to smother the bitterness in her tone. She has Lily, but no one else she's familiar with. No Gideon. No Bass. No one.
And the last thing she wants to do is unload emotionally on a child she's just met.

Babette beams at the offer and hurries over, even reaching out to take Mimmi's hand. Relief is painted all over her face and face lights up.
No pun intended.
"I--I don't like it here. It's kind of scary."
